We live in an age filled with Superheroes. Just that the superheroes are on screen and not in real life making a real-difference. While the Avengers are protecting planet Earth, we have Marvel’s new entrants – the Guardians safeguarding the Galaxy. On the other hand, we have the DC Universe lagging far behind in terms of quality of their movies. Batman versus Superman was a big dud and Suicide Squad did not do much to raise the hopes of DC-Universe fans. Well, all that is set to change now thanks to Wonder Woman. Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman introduces to a new Superhero who literally wants to put an end to war by killing the God of War, Ares. The Amazon princess has a certain sense of innocence attached to her, which makes her more endearing (Like Gal Gadot wasn’t endearing before). Voldemort - Origins of the Heir! – He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named is back! You-know-who has terrorized Harry Potter and Pottermaniacs for over a decade. I have been a proud Potter fan, always, and I still do catch up on re-runs of the HP series whenever it comes on TV. And naturally I was all excited when I watched the Voldemort Origin’s fan-made trailer on Facebook (Thank you FB sponsored ads). Who knows Netflix might take up this noble fan-made creation and turn it in to a full-fledged series that might win them some awards the coming year at the Emmy’s. Irrespective of the fate of the series, Tom Riddle’s metamorphosis in to Voldemort deserves a screen rendition at any cost. And looking at the beautifully produced trailer, we – Potter fans - can’t wait to watch the entire series. Here's a short poem that I wrote on - Faith - the one thing that makes us feel safe, protected and positive. The faith in God, the faith in a better tomorrow for us and everyone around us. It's faith alone that drives many of us in this world. So, read on! Surrounded with serene mountains, I slowly descend down these long unwinding steps Pondering about the faith entrusted in stone idols. It is our faith solely which makes these idols symbols of divine intervention Its our faith that makes us scale peaks n traverse seas to get a glimpse of divinity, And its our faith which keeps us going day in and day out The faith in a better tomorrow, a better future & a better world!!!

So here's a heartfelt write-up, written in support of the campaign,  # IWillGoOut  , against the horrific crimes committed in Bengaluru on New Year's eve. A message that needs to reach out loud and clear. A message that needs to be read by parents as well, parents to daughters and especially sons. How the man who ruled Columbia was brought to his knees So, I finally made up my mind and decided to watch Netflix’s Narcos. Had heard a lot about this hugely popular fictionalized – biopic. The reviews ranged from –‘critically acclaimed’ to ‘I would go with a generous 2 out of 5 star for this disappointing TV series.’ Finally with polarized reviews in my mind, I decided to give Narcos a shot. Narcos retells the meteoric rise of Pablo Escobar - the dreaded drug-lord – from a Paisa (Common-man) to a filthy rich Mafioso. Pablo Escobar is one character nightmares are made of. So much power in the wrong hands can certainly bring an entire empire down. Narcos is one series that transcends linguistic barriers and connects with the non-Spanish speaking population like myself. Well, not really. You certainly do need English subtitles for the Spanish dialogues as 80% of the proceedings are in Spanish, barring what the Gringos (Americans) speak in the show. Probably, ...
